Set to Aaron Copland’s iconic Hoedown, this experimental stop-motion short follows a couple living in isolation on Martha’s Vineyard as their home is invaded by a strange army of shapeshifting toy soldiers. A surreal American nightmare about violence, fear, and the myths we inherit.
A pair of rabbits set out in search of a world untouched by people, moving through suburban sprawl, industrial decay, and the strange remnants of human life. Blending stop motion with live action, The West Wind is a surreal fable about escape, longing, and the uneasy pull of the world you’re trying to leave behind.
